Firstly thank you
for taking the time to visit our site and for considering us to host
your portfolio. Kittens
Crypt doesn't get
involved in the taking or producing of any
photos, video, etc.. but once your set up photographers,
producers, etc may contact you. What we offer is a place for
models to host your media by generating
an
area and setting it up with graphics such as the
other models on our site.
For us one of the
biggest concerns is someone using another persons
images and as such we take every care to make sure our models are real
people and at least 18 years of age or above. If you have any
concerns that a model may not be of age, or may be using another person
photos, or in any way at all may be breaching any form of law, please
contact us right away so that we may take action. Upholding
the law is of paramount importance to us, so please inform us right
away should you any concerns.

What do the numbers stand for next
to each models name?
A: How many
photo sets that model has for sale on her page.
Q: Do you have some form of banner for
people to use as links to your site.
A: Yes, here
are some samples, check models pages or more banners :)
Q: What do I need to
become a kitten model?
A: Firstly know
that being a model
will cost you nothing, it's 100% FREE
and is very simple to join. Unlike most internet sites, we keep
to the basic's and try and make everything flow smoothly. If you
have a question that is not covered here, just email us and we'll
answer you as quickly as we can :)
What we need:
(1) Photo of you
holding some form of photo ID
(2) A
close up photo of the ID (clearly showing face & date
of birth)
(3) What
level you wish to be: Green, Amber or Red
(4) Your
paypal email address to receive your payments
(5)
Lastly a photo of you holding an A4 piece of
paper saying
'I'm over 18 and want to be on
KittensCrypt.com'

Q: How many photos must I send in ?
A: Sets can be as
large as you like but we'd ask you have at least 50-100 photos per
set. We also
would like it if you
send in a
selection of random photos when you first join. This gives us
images to
use as titles, welcome screens, banners and adverts etc. In short
it will help you get up and running a little quicker and give a wider
range of advertising we're able to do for you. If not, we will
just use images from your first photo set to do layouts and configure
everything.
Q: What's the best way to send in my
photos, videos, etc..?
A: You can send
them via standard email but most of the time sets are to big for email
and don't reach us. We recommend sites like www.rapidshare.com or www.sendspace.com .. We have found
these sites to be good to get large files. Simply use zip to make
your set in to file big file and then send us the link to download them
from. If you like you can password the file and email us
the password separately for that added bit of security.
Q:
Who sets the price of the photo sets?
A: We do, based on
image quality, set size, photo resolution, image
content, style, time put in to the set, etc...
More photos does not mean higher amounts can be charged. When
pricing
photo sets you need to keep in mind that people can get full members
access for only a few dollars on other sites, and download every set
the site has. So single set prices on our site need to be judged fairly
and priced to suit.
Q:
How long does is take to place sets online, once received?
A: There are many
things to keep in mind when doing sets, they need to be sized, cropped,
copyrights added, etc. Then the page information needs to be
created and the sample photos made, samples alone can take some time.
Then of course there is the configuring of the pricing system
and [payment options, etc. We do try and get photo sets online as
soon as
possible, but it can take a few days or when weeks depending on the
workload of the site at the time. Most of the time it takes a few
days per set. If you wish to speed things up for us, please
remember to send photos directly from the camera and don't try to edit
or resize them before sending.
Q: Do I get an special email address ?
A: If you
ask, we can give you an email address like....
username@kittenscrypt.com .... This email address is what's
called a pop3 email account and lets you log in and download your
messages with a program like Outlook Express or Incredimail..
Outlook
normally comes with windows and Incredimail can be downloaded for free
from http://www.incredimail.com/english/splash.aspx
Q:
I can't see everything on the page
as it's to big for my screen, what can I do?
A: Hold the
CTRL key down and use the + and - to find a size your happy with :)
Q: Who owns the
copyrights for photos and are there any contracts?
A: We have no
lock in
contracts, no sole rights issues, no copyright
agreements, etc.. in short we have no problems with meeting you
wishes. We work on the principle that you've sent us the photos
or
media and as such are giving us the right to place them on the site,
quick and simple. We
don't want the copyright on your photos or to make you
feel like we own you, so although we ask for the rights to use your
photos on the site and in promotions and advertisements, etc. you keep
your copyrights and freedom to leave anytime :)
Q:
How do I contact a
kitten model directly?
A:
Communication with the models is up to the kitten in question.
Most will have an email address on their page.
Q: How old do you need
to be, to be a kitten model?
A: Models are
required
to
be at least 18 years of age or older.
Q: I brought a set
that's marked as 'HD' but not all files are 1920x1080, why?
A: Some photos are
landscape (left to right) and some are portrait (top to bottom).
All images are resized for viewing on a HD screen. HD is
1920x1080, so when photos are taken in standard landscape, this of
course is the full size, but if an image is portrait, it will still be
scaled to 1080 high but not 1920 wide, it's just the way some people
choose to take their photos. We do ask that models try and make
all photos landscape, but some don't.
Q: Do you have any
referral plan or finders fee's ?
A: Yes. even
if your not a kitten model, will offer 5% finder fee
from all sets sold of the person you introduce to us for the first 12
months. This bonus will come out of our 45% and not the models,
to make sure they still receive their full payment
each month.
Q: I paid for my set
but didn't receive a link
A: Did you click
on 'Return to: KittensCrypt' after you made
payment? If you didn't do this, then you will not of been taken
to the download link.. If you did do this a download window
should of opened automatically and the set should be saved in your
downloads
directory. Some people have pop up blockers, and anti spam, anti
this and anti that, stuff running.. Some of these programs stop the
download window from opening. Before contacting us check your
downloads directory, if it's not there,
then please email the webmaster from the email
address you paid with and they will send you the set link.
Q: Who is the custodian of records?
A: Each model is
custodian of their own
photos and media. We require copies of photo ID showing their age
and
details at the time of setting up and configuring their area, but in
short we have nothing to do with the photos and media outside of
hosting it for them. However should for any legal reason proof of
age, etc. be required, this information will be made available to the
proper
authorities.
Q: How much
does being
a kitten model pay?
A: Our site's
been set up
to help you make ends meet and put a little
extra money in your pocket, and just simply help you have a
better, less stressful life and hopefully have a little fun. Being
a kitten model is free to join, and payment works like this,
10% goes to running costs. Running
costs
cover things like the paypal fee's, hosting space, registrations,
etc. and is gone before we even receive payment. Once we have
received payment we work on a straight 50/50 split with the
model. Because of 10% already being removed before we receive
payment, this becomes 45% of the total set price. Our
percentage covers things along the lines of image re-sizing, graphic
design, desktop images and
layouts, creation of banners, thumbnails and other forms of
advertising, adding copyrights and url's to images, uploading and
editing time, etc.. the list goes
on..
All prices are in
US dollars and all models payments will be paid to their
PayPal account each month. There is no set date
for this transfer but our goal will be to do it on the first of each
month. As this is not an automated service and needs to all
be calculated by us and manually transferred, etc.. it might
sometimes be a day or
two early or late, it just depends on how busy we are at the time
:)

What if I don't have a paypal
account and want to be a model?
A: We're happy to
work around your needs and can work something out to
suit.
